I am writing this mail in
regards to First Gurgaon Half Marathon which is on 1st Sep,
2013 at Gurgaon. I am listing some of the important information about the event
which you might be interested in,

About Gurgaon Half Marathon : Gurgaon
Half Marathon is being organized for Uttarakhand Rehabilitation. As we realize
the major portion of government relief fund would be utilized in development of
Roads and House, but still crucial infrastructure tools for rehabilitation like Schools, Local
Hospitals and Water Tanks etc is difficult to be rebuilt in every village of
Uttarakhand single handedly by Government. Thus we need to pour as much we can
from our side to help people of Uttarakhand.

Event Date & Time: Gurgaon Half Marathon is scheduled on 1st Sep, 2013 at Leisure Valley Gurgaon.
All the required Approval from CM Office, DC Office, Fire Department, Municipal
Corporation etc. has been granted. As it’s for a social cause we have been
getting all the support from different section of Government.

Event Venue : Gurgaon Half Marathon is
scheduled at Leisure Valley Gurgaon, and the track has been planned in order
that it does not interfere with the National Highway or High Traffic, though it
would be at walking distance from IFFICO Chowk and HUDA City Center Metro
Station.

Event Duration & Time : The
Gurgaon Half Marathon will have 3 races, with 2 tracks of 3 and 6 KM
respectively.

Adults 14 years and above 7:00 AM
o
Children’s below 14 Years 7:45 AM
o
Old and Differently enabled 8:15 AM

Entry Fee : Entry fee is just Rs. 700/-
per person.
·
Entry Point : Leisure Valley has access
point from NH8 and Metro Station and will have one access gate only. 10
counters will be setup for the verification of the Marathon Number so no
unauthorized person can gain access to Marathon. Those who reach late will be
entertained for maximum 30 minutes after the race has started post that
athletes will be allowed only to take part in Marathon but they would not
qualify for any prize/awards.

Capacity: Gurgaon Half Marathon
would be able to accommodate 25 thousand participants and security measures
will be made accordingly, the tracks are wide enough to accommodate 25 thousand
athletes. Also a free of cost car parking facility of 10,000 capacity will be kept
free for those who bring in their own vehicles.
Editors Note: Date for 2013 Gurgaon Half Marathon has been confirmed as September 1st.
